The Wood Industry Cluster WIC has managed the Competence centre of HR development in wood sector www.kocles.si which comprised 27 companies with 2.470 employees and 8 institutions.The Competence centre organized trainings for the companies with aim to help them at their products processes and business models development. The industry plays a major role in the competitiveness of the region. It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens participation such as the Civil Society Prize the Civil Society Days the Your Europe Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.
